Why we should research in-laws' records

Here's an announcement from Legacy Family Tree:

"The recording of today's (July 26, 2023) webinar by J. Mark Lowe, FUGA, "Why We Should Look at In-Laws When Doing Genealogical Research” is now available to view at www.FamilyTreeWebinars.com for free for a limited time.

Webinar Description   Often, when the records of family members can’t be easily found, a review of fictive kin and other connections might bring those missing individuals into view."

The 1-hour, 9-minute recording can be accessed for free at the Legacy webinar library through August 2. If you aren't familiar with the term "fictive kin," here's a googled definition: A kinship based on social agreements such as friendship instead of adoption, blood (consanguinity), or marriage (affinity) that creates a relationship "like family."
