From an announcement in the July 2007 issue of IGSI's quarterly journal, The Septs:

The Beth Mullinax Award of Distinction, a new award, recognizes an individual who shows dedicated and sustained service in support of IGSI. By naming this award after her and naming her the first recipient of this award, we honor Beth Mullinax and all she has done for our society: her tireless devotion, her willingness to help others and her guidance to the organization. The question we should ask about Beth isn’t what has she done for our group but rather, what hasn’t she done. Throughout the years she has taken on most of the jobs at IGSI, she knows most of the genealogical gurus in the US and Ireland and is our top rated researcher. As IGSI President Linda Miller said, “If Beth can not find your ancestors in Ireland then they never existed."

This award plaque will be posted at the IGSI Library. The names of future winners of this honor will be added to the plaque.
