All IGSI programs and services are provided by volunteers, with very few paid roles. We treasure the time and talents of our many members, friends, and neighbors who regularly help us to sustain and improve the Society. Fresh ideas, energy, and talents are welcome and essential.
Many of our volunteers serve from their homes across North America and beyond. If you are able to come to Minnesota's Twin Cities you have options to help in our Library and with live events. Whether in-person or online, your talents and skills make our goals for the Society possible. Even if you can only give a short time to IGSI, you will connect with a wonderful group of other volunteers.

Thanks to the volunteers who gave IGSI a presence at Irish Fairs & Festivals in Wisconsin this year, as well as the Minnesota State Fair!
How to Become a Volunteer
A few current needs are posted below. Please contact the IGSI volunteer coordinator with questions or to share your interests and skills, even if no similar role is listed below. Unique expertise or special interests might be a perfect fit for us!
We would love to have you join our family of volunteers, and are happy to craft a role to suit your time and interests!
