Last night I enjoyed two episodes of "Who Do You Think You Are?" The stories are always so interesting - and a bit annoying in that they make researching family history look so easy. If you watch the story about Bryan Cranston, you'll see a completely different person than the guy he portrayed in "Breaking Bad."  Cranston, whose paternal ancestors came from Ireland, was shown records reporting his grandfather as a "dissipated man." He was clearly disappointed to learn there were multiple generations of Cranston men who'd deserted their families. On August 19-20, Ancestry Insider blogged about a presentation by Lisa Elzey at the 2015 BYU Conference on Family History and Genealogy. Elzey is a researcher for WDYTYA. To produce a 42-minute show, she reported they need to find 17 documents! Clearly a lot of work goes on behind the scenes. Read a summary of Elzey's other commentary here: www.ancestryinsider.org/
