As January 2023 comes to an end, this blog includes 1854 articles, announcements, or other items of interest posted since July 2011. While IGSI blog postings aren’t indexed, there’s an easy way to find entries by subject.

At the top of the Blog homepage, you’ll see a box where you can search by Category or Timeframe. However the best way to query is probably by choosing one of the drop-downs--either ‘Blog Title’ or ‘Title & Text’--and entering a specific search term.

As an example, perhaps you read the recent posting about Jane Kennedy’s lecture at the Genealogical Society of Ireland. You could search prior blog postings by choosing ‘Title & Text’ and typing Connemara; you’ll find 12 IGSI blog entries.

Customize your search with a location or surname or topic about which you’re curious. Maybe you’ll find something helpful. Good luck!
