A raffle quilt made as a fund-raiser for the Celtic Connections Conference has a new home on 'Irish Ridge' near Eyota, MN.

Mary G. bought one $2 raffle ticket last April. With the luck of the Irish, her name was drawn on Saturday, August 6.

The quilt is called "Shades of Green: Memories of Ireland" and evokes the Irish landscape as seen from the air. The quilt label is shaped like Ireland.

Mary says her Ancestry DNA test indicates she's 71% Irish. She rattled off family names including McCarthy, Donnelly, and others. I'm happy the quilt found a good Irish home.
