Irish Fair of Minnesota, August 8-10
The annual Irish Fair of Minnesota is recognized as one of the most family-friendly events in the Twin Cities, as well as one of the largest and most authentic Irish festivals nationwide and an amazingly great time! This year’s event is August 8-10, 2025.
The three-day cultural festival is filled with all things Irish. A small city is built on Harriet Island in St. Paul to house six stages for Irish music and dance; pub tents for refreshments; a sports field for soccer, hurling, and camogie demonstrations; marketplace tents; and various other areas for kids’ activities and cultural programming.
"What’s c-a-m-o-g-i-e?” you ask. Camogie is an Irish stick-and-ball team sport played by women—the female equivalent of hurling. Dating back centuries, camogie is played by 100,000 women in Ireland and worldwide (per Wikipedia).
While you’re at the festival, stop by the IGSI booth with questions about researching your Irish family history.
