This blog is sponsored by the Irish Genealogical Society International (IGSI). Are you a member?
IGSI had 747 members as of August 1, 2013:
- 560 General Members
- 165 Electronic Members (including 16 who reside in foreign countries)
- 22 International Members (who receive The Septs via snail mail)
We have members in six countries: Australia, New Zealand, Canada (in 8 of the 10 Canadian Provinces), Ireland, United Kingdom and United States.
Our members are located in 48 of the 50 U.S. states plus the District of Columbia. We lack members in only Alaska and Wyoming.
You will find issues of IGSI's quarterly journal,
The Septs, in the collections of 29 member libraries and societies including The National Library of Ireland, The Family Search Library, and the Archives of the Minnesota Historical Society.
Why do we have such a large following? Watch for my next posting.
