I recently attended a short seminar entitled "20 genealogy websites in 20 minutes."

The site at the top of the list: www.thoughtco.com.

I hadn't ever used (or even heard about) thoughtco.com, but other sources I checked also rate it highly for factual, unbiased educational information.

When I went to the the website and queried "Irish genealogy," I discovered a cache of interesting sites. It was a good project for a rainy day.
