Those of you with Scots-Irish ancestry may be interested to know about the recent release of the 1921 Census of Scotland,

The collection is searchable at Scotlands People. If you don't have an account, you will need to register, but there is no fee for searching. What you find in the free search should at least help you confirm the identity of individuals you're seeking.

The 1921 census, scheduled to be taken in April 1921, was delayed until Sunday, the 19th of June. Consequently, some people may have been on holiday and not where you'd expect to find them.

The census includes 200,000 images of 4.8 million individuals. To view detail beyond the free search, you'll need to purchase "credits."
