"New FamilySearch enhanced civil registration collection holds enhanced detail," says the Irish Genealogy News (IGN) headline. I couldn't say it better than reported today by Claire Santry, complete with an example. She shares good news about the birth/marriage/death index on (always free) FamilySearch. Although fewer records are included (than on IrishGenealogy.ie), the information contained within the index may be augmented for pre-1870 marriages.
