Have you ever identified an original record in Dublin and wished you could easily order a digital copy? A new service called 'Irish Genealogy Clerk' has come to the rescue. Although there are many Irish genealogical services now available online, some vital records can only be viewed or copied by visiting the repositories in Dublin.

Timeline Research Ireland, a genealogical and historical research company, has launched a service that will fill your order for civil birth, marriage and death registrations, Roman Catholic parish registers and Valuation Office Revision books. This includes the extensive collection of family papers and estate records held by the National Library of Ireland (NLI). If the document or manuscript you want is located at the NLI or the National Archives, you can submit a Genealogy Clerk request form and receive a quote.

The request form, along with more information about the new service, can be found at Timeline's website: http://timeline.ie/irish-genealogy-clerk/. No details about cost are posted, but it's undoubtedly cheaper than a plane ticket!
