From Laois to Kerry
A new history/genealogy book has been published about the families of Laois.
According to author Michael Christopher Keane:
From Laois to Kerry tells the story of the Clans or Septs (Moores, Kellys, Lawlors, Dowlings, Dorans, Dees or Deevys and McEvoys) who were transplanted to Kerry as part of the Midlands and Munster plantations. It also details the continued presence of their descendants in Kerry through the centuries to the present time as well as the story of their colourful landlords, the Crosbies.
