Here's yet another piece of information shared by one of our readers, about a golden opportunity to improve one's knowledge of Irish history. Futurelearn.com is offering a free online course, "Irish Lives in War and Revolution: Exploring Ireland's History 1912-1923." During the six-week course one can learn about the lives of regular Irish people during one of the most significant periods in the country's history. Many Irish emigrated during this period so the course is an excellent way to gain understanding about their decisions to leave. The coursework will require a five-hour commitment each week for reading historical source materials, interacting with other students and completing related tasks. Fern has signed up! Maybe you will, too?
