Have you mined every Irish source of birth, marriage and death records and still have holes in your family history? Have you been intimidated by the prospect of researching land and property records? Chris Paton's book Discover Irish Land Records may help you achieve the next level, and Paul Milner's book review gives an excellent introduction to what information you'll find there. The book covers both online and offline records so it has value even if you don't plan a research trip to Ireland in the near future. Paton's treatment of the subject starts with Irish history and how jurisdictional differences affect how and where you look for records. Examples of records found will help us learn a bit more about "the lay of the land." Read the book review at Milner's March 3rd blog posting: www.milnergenealogy.com/.
