Chock-full eNewsletter

The January-February issue of IGSI's eNewsletter, Ginealas, has been emailed to members. It's chock-full* of articles you'll want to read. Gregory J. Winters has ably served as editor for several years, and under his leadership the publication has become another good reason to join Irish Genealogical Society International (IGSI). Kevina Munnich is a regular contributor with her newsy "Internet Notes" column. This edition also includes more details about the Celtic Connections Conference '16 as well as "what's new" in the IGSI library and more! Five pages of valuable information about Irish genealogy! If you're not an IGSI member, maybe 2016 is the time to join? There are several membership levels:
  1. General - $30 per year (Benefits of IGSI membership include the bi-monthly e-Newsletter Ginealas, reduced fees for classes and research assistance, access to members-only sections of the website, free use of the library, and mailed copy of quarterly journal The Septs);
  2. Electronic - $25 per year (All the benefits of a general membership except access to The Septs is online);
  3. International - $40 per year (This level is for those living outside the U.S. who would like The Septs delivered by mail; $25 electronic memberships are also available to those living outside the U.S.);
  4. Dual - $40 per year (For two individuals living in the same household. A dual membership provides all the benefits of a general membership plus free access to the library for both members.)

Both "chock-full" and "choke" may have originated from the Old English word for cheek or jaw. According to Wiktionary.org, the end result is the same: a mouthful.
