While you'll find lots of family history information online, the traditionalists among us often prefer to hold a book in our hands. IrishCentral and Findmypast have published a list of five books for researching Irish family history. They are:

1) Tracing Your Irish Ancestors by John Grenham

2) Surnames of Ireland by Edward McLysaught

3) Tracing Your (County) Ancestors series by various authors

4) A New Genealogical Atlas of Ireland by Brian Mitchell

5) Tracing Your Irish Family History on the Internet by Chris Paton
