Autumn issue of Irish Lives Remembered
The Autumn 2017 issue of Irish Lives Remembered features an image of the American Civil War battle at Spottsylvania on its cover. A young man from County Wexford earned a Medal of Honor there but lost his life.
This edition carries a military theme with articles covering diverse time periods from the Vikings through World War I. Plus, as editor Patrick Roycroft describes, "But there is more. Quakers in west Wicklow; the reasons why some septs/clans of Counties Kerry and Laois are connected; an overview of three of the Murphy septs - including the one with the stout! There is a Photodetective feature, a roundup of new Irish releases on Findmypast.ie, and no less than two articles on Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau..."
Very enlightening, as usual - and free. You'll want to read it cover to cover: https://irishlivesremembered.ie/
