My husband and I are glad to be spending January here in Hilton Head, SC, and escaping cold temperatures back in Minnesota. This morning we walked - sans jackets - past the theater where we saw the movie "Philomena" two years ago.  Actress Judi Dench portrayed Philomena Lee, who was searching for the son she was forced to give up for adoption at Sean Ross Abbey in Roscrea, County Tipperary. Coincidentally a real-life story about another adoptee was re-published in today's IrishCentral. I love happy endings.
