Researching in Ireland: Your Guided Tour
Saturday, January 9, 2021 - 10:30 AM - Noon CST
Instructor: Donna Moughty
$15.00 IGSI members/$20.00 non-members
The time has come...you have enough information about your Irish ancestors to visit "the ould sod" to continue your research. At this point you know where your ancestors lived and when they emigrated from Ireland. This lecture looks at the major repositories in Ireland (both Dublin and Belfast) and the types of records they hold to assist you in planning your trip. It also will discuss local resources outside of the major repositories.
Donna Moughty is a professional genealogist and former Regional Manager for Apple Computer. Having conducted family research since 1992, Donna lectures on a variety of subjects including methodology, Irish research and computer topics. In addition, she provides consultations, research assistance and training.
All you need to attend is an internet-connected device with audio capabilities (computer, iPad, smartphone, etc.)
