Sunday, March 29 1:00 - 4:00 pm
This free event – open to the public – is the third annual Open House at the Minnesota Genealogy Center. So invite your friends, your neighbors, or anyone who has indicated an interest in genealogy research. Introduce them to this ‘hidden gem’ or come explore a bit yourself.
The IGSI table and collection are part of the tour. Please stop by our table and say hello, ask a question, or just talk with our members volunteering that day. You’ll also find more than a dozen tables representing the various ethnic genealogy societies and sub-groups who call the Minnesota Genealogy Center home. You can attend a short class about resources or DNA or investigate the materials in the library.
On March 28 and 29 you can learn more about IGSI and other groups, our resources available at the Genealogy Center, and explore a bit. The event was so popular last year – and parking lot so full – that we’ve made it a two-day event.
The “Quick Talk” schedule includes:
Saturday
10:30 a.m. Canadian Research
12:30 p.m. Finding Those Swedes
1:30 p.m. DNA Basics
2:30 p.m. Irish Genealogical Research
Sunday
1:30 p.m. Using Family Tree Maker with FamilySearch and Ancestry
2:30 p.m. Online Czech Records
We look forward to seeing you!
