Travel with IGSI to Ireland
The last IGSI members’ trip to Ireland was in 2015, with arrangements by our 2022 trip provider, Celtic Journeys. Seven years between trips - that’s a long time to be away from the home sod!!

The coming trip has added more time in Ireland than the last trip, bringing us to 12 days/11 nights. We’ll be going late in the tourist season, so there will be fewer travelers at our various destinations!! The tour departs Monday, September 26, 2022, and ends Saturday, October 8, 2022. Price is $2,675 per person (sharing a double/twin room).

We planned our itinerary to include many not-so-familiar gems that will take us off the better known ‘tourist trail’ of Irish sights. You can check the itinerary and other tour details in our flyer (PDF).

One of our new stops will be Slieve League.  ou say, “what or where is that?”  It’s really Slieve League (Sliabh Liag) Cliffs. The Cliffs of Mohr are a third of the height of Slieve League. Better yet, Sliabh Liag Cliffs area is not on the traditional tourists’ smart phone GPS. Did you know that it is located in southwest Donegal along the costal driving route?

Built into the itinerary are opportunities to spend time researching your Irish ancestors at various libraries and records offices in Belfast and Dublin...or just spend the day exploring on your own.

Space is limited.  Half of the allotted spaces have already been confirmed, so reserve your place today. We’d love to have you join us!

You’ll visit Belfast, Derry, Donegal, Galway, Killaloe, Kinsale and Dublin, seeing sights such as the Giant’s Causeway, Slieve League, Glenveagh National Park, the Rock of Cashel and the Cobh Heritage Center. Built into the itinerary are opportunities to spend time researching your Irish ancestors at various libraries and records offices in Belfast and Dublin…or just spend the day exploring on your own.
