Ruth Dynan Gensman has been a member of IGSI for 10 years just about as long as she has been doing family research. Her mother was interested in the family's history and she planned to help her but never had time to do much. She was too busy working so when she retired, she made it her main activity. 

Four years ago she decided to help IGSI with indexing items for new website and she hasn't stopped yet. Ruth has been one of IGSI's most proficient workers on our indexing projects. Lately she indexed a 129 page manuscript on Castle's Woods, Virginia (1789-1799) pulling out names and page numbers. This is a time consuming and precise job. 

Ruth has found it fun expanding the family history, getting to know about ancestors and meeting 3rd cousins she never knew existed. She found a ninth cousin, once removed, on her maternal grandmother's side with whom she stays in contact. 

The surnames she is searching are Dynan, O'Connell, Carmody, Coleman, Comer, Kilfoil, Fitzgerald; O'Brien, Keoghane and Brickley in the counties of Clare and Cork.
